We are planning for our trip to Uruguay... but first we must pack up all our worldly possessions and move them from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles, California. What you see above is the River Plate region of South America. By September we will be on the east bank where you see a little white speck hugging the river. That is Montevideo, capital of the Oriental Republic of Uruguay. Directly to the left on the opposite bank is Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will travel all around this region, as well as other parts of this great continent, during our year in the Southern Hemisphere.
